Permission To Be You

Be like Tina. Do your thing and don’t worry about whether it’s okay with everyone else. Give yourself permission to be YOU!

So often, we hold ourselves back because we fear judgment, rejection, or simply not fitting into the mold that others expect of us. We try to play it safe, to do what’s acceptable, to avoid making waves. But deep down, we know that living this way only makes us feel smaller. True confidence comes from embracing your authentic self, even if it doesn’t please everyone around you.

That’s why I love Tina Fey’s reminder: “Do your thing and don’t care if they like it.” It’s not about being careless or inconsiderate. It’s about trusting yourself enough to step fully into who you are. When you stop seeking approval, you start discovering freedom. Freedom to try new things. Freedom to make mistakes. Freedom to laugh loudly, speak honestly, and show up exactly as you are.

Give Yourself Permission

Giving yourself permission to be you also means letting go of comparison. You are not supposed to look like, act like, or live like anyone else. Your journey is yours alone, with its own timing and purpose. The more you lean into your uniqueness, the more you shine. And the people who truly love and support you will celebrate that light.

Of course, being yourself takes courage. It’s not always easy to stand tall in a world that constantly pressures you to blend in. But every time you choose authenticity over approval, you strengthen your confidence. You prove to yourself that your voice, your choices, and your presence matter.

So today, take a page from Tina Fey’s book. Be bold, be fearless, and most importantly, be yourself. Permission granted.
